BI Requirements

We provide experienced business analysts who understand the unique nature of defining requirements for a BI solution. They recognize that BI requirements are different than requirements for an operational system. For example, a requirement for an operational system might state, “display most current salary for the employee when the salary button is clicked.” But for a BI system, a requirement might read, “allow user to understand sales trends by region.” Due to the fact that BI solutions necessarily include human involvement, the requirements can be very different from what most people are used to seeing.

Requirements gathering projects typically require 1 to 3 senior level business analysts with BI backgrounds for 2 to 8 weeks depending on the size, scope, and complexity of the client situation.
